Special Projects
The Friends of the Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings Elementary School
Students from the Gainesville elementary school named for Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings have been regular guests at the park. CSO member Phyllis Hansen has worked particularly closely with the school, tutoring children, meeting with teachers, and providing materials for the school media center. This is an ongoing Special Project undertaken in 2006-2007 by the Friends.
